Shooting in East Anglia and London from 1st August 2011, Passengers is a fast paced thriller that will unnerve, disturb and shock. It is scheduled for a January 2012 release.
Richard Hart is enthusiastic, “We are incredibly excited about Passengers. We have been working with John for some time now developing another project called Salvation’s Door. However, after careful consideration we felt that Passengers was the right project to start our upcoming slate of films with. John has a great energy and vision for his work, and we are extremely confident that we will deliver a film that will be great fun with some riveting twists and turns”.
Richard Turner considered the challenge the project offers. “We think Passengers is an ambitious project for us to start with, but we are all looking forward to the start of principal photography. We have been very fortunate - our financiers have been very supportive of us as a company and agree with us that this is a great film on which to cut our collective teeth.”
Scope Colen commented, “Rip and I were seriously contemplating writing a gruesome horror pic when John pitched us his and Carole’s idea for a thriller based around a character with a syndrome only recently catalogued principally in China: The little empress/emperor syndrome! We thought the idea was fantastic and brought the project into Ratio who embraced it as keenly as we had.”
